Weather Network calls for ideal winter weather on Christmas Day

JOHN, B.C. — The Weather Network says residents of the Peace Region are in for ideal Christmas weather: the snow will be sticking around, but there aren’t any extreme weather systems of snow or wind expected to pass over our region — making it ideal for travelling.“It looks like we’re going to be seeing a white Christmas as temperatures are going to remain fairly cold over the next few days,” says Meteorologist Dayna Vettesse.“It’s going to be a chilly day, but looks like we don’t have much in the way of weather, so if you’re doing any driving around or traveling, looks like the weather should be okay.”- Advertisement -Should there be any wind, Vetesse says, windchill values that are going to be hovering -20 to -30 degrees.Heading into the New Year, temperatures are expected to get slightly warmer. Vettesse says Western Canada will start seeing the El Nino climate come back with those higher temperatures as we head into 2016.last_img read more
